About Dr. Susan Wenberg

Dr. Wenberg was introduced to chiropractic while studying biomechanics in graduate school. She received chiropractic care to help recover from a bicycling injury. Dr. Wenberg was impressed with her experience and changed her career plans, entering chiropractic school after receiving a Masters degree in biology from UCLA.

Dr. Wenberg graduated Magna Cum Laude from Los Angeles College of Chiropractic. She holds chiropractic licenses in Arizona and Colorado, with Arizona certifications in physio-therapy and acupuncture.

In 2012 she closed her Tucson Arizona practice of 20+ years to join the Veterans Administration as a staff chiropractor.
Her clinical goal is to help veterans experience more comfort and effectiveness in their daily lives. Her focus is the diagnosis and treatment of neuro-musculo-skeletal disorders. Her primary treatment tool is gentle manual therapy.

She is board eligible for the Chiropractic Rehabilitation Diplomate and the Chiropractic Neurology Diplomate. She frequently attends post-graduate courses on varied subjects such as traumatic brain injury, sports injury management, functional neurology, reflex development therapies, and nutrition.

Dr. Wenberg has lectured to postgraduate audiences on manual therapy, on brain injury,
and on rehabilitation.

Dr. Wenberg completed courses in Advanced Manual Medicine in Europe in 1995, 1996, 1998, 1999, 2009, and 2012 under the direction of Czech Professors Vladimir Janda MD, Karl Lewit MD, and Pavel Kolar, PT, PhD, as well as affiliated training in the USA. Study in this program led to certification as a Dynamic Neuromuscular Stabilization (DNS) Practitioner in 2009 (www.rehabps.com).

In 1981 she bicycled across the United States. She acted as the chiropractor and a crewmember for a cyclist in the 1994 and 1995 Race Across America (RAAM).
